We take a lot of pride in providing the highest quality guided fly fishing trip in Northern CA. We love teaching folks that are brand new to the sport as well as folks with a lot of experience. The more people that we can get excited about this sport – the most support our precious resources will get in terms of conservation and restoration.

1. Home Town & Waters
   The Lower Sacramento River in Redding, CA is considered my home water. The might “Lower Sac” is a trout factory with a very healthy population of native rainbow trout that commonly grow in excess of 20″. Our home river gives us the opportunity to guide and fish ALL YEAR LONG. We also have the Trinity and Klamath Rivers within short striking distance. These two rivers allow us to chase Pacific Steelhead a solid 6 months of the year.
2. What 2-3 lines do you use the most and why?
   Since the majority of our fishing throughout the course of the year is subsurface (slack line and tight line nymphing) the Amplitude Anadro nymph (smooth) line has quickly become our favorite when fishing for both trout and Steelhead. The heavier taper allows our sports to turn over their heavier nymph rigs with ease. These lines also double as great dry/dropper lines in the spring and summer when we’re throwing a large stonefly dry accompanied by a dropper. The functionality and durability of these lines standout above any other lines we’ve used.
3. Where would you most like to fish in the future?
   Exmouth in Western Australia appeals to me a lot.. the remoteness and sheer variety of gamefish you can get after there would put this destination at the top of my list.
4. What are two truths and one lie about you?
   Truth: I’m obsessed with Winter Steelhead.
   Truth: I eat between 4 and 8 eggs a day.
   Lie: I’ver caught every Permit i’ve ever cast to.
