- Home water? I live in Denver, Colorado. We have many choices within a two hour drive. Here are a few of my favorites. Colorado River, which is a freestone. It’s big and wide, with a diverse bug population. Arkansas River. Another freestone that can fish very differently at its headwaters, than sixty miles downriver.
- What 2-3 lines do you use the most and why?
My favorite line is for the rod I fish most. The last two years you will find me with a two handed rod in my hands. The Spey Lite Scandi is fun to cast. The 270 grain matches up to the Winston 11’ 4wt. perfectly. The new Amplitude on my faster rods is my choice. Also, the Amplitude Trout can’t be beat on my Winston Pure, or older BIIIX. For my streamer stick the Amplitude Anadro, easily drives heavy rigs through the wind.
- Where would you most like to fish?
Anywhere where you can find steelhead. Also, I can’t wait to get back to Chili, and Patagonia.
- Two Truths and a Lie.
I do enjoy tying very small trout flies. The more complicated, the better! That I am fresh, cold water fish junky.
