Guillaume grew up in the city of Montreal, Canada. As a child, he was introduced to fly fishing by his dad on small lakes of the Laurentides area. Since then, his passion for the sport grew stronger leading him to search for new water anywhere he went. In the past years, Guillaume focused on fishing rivers for trout and musky, even if he considers himself a multi species angler. Being a high school teacher, he spends most of his summer chasing fish around eastern Canada and northern New-York.
Guillaume also shares his love for fishing through writing in magazines such as the annual Hooké Mag and on different websites. He teaches fly fishing for Caudale Fly Fishing School and organizes tying nights in local bars. Guillaume is pretty stoked about joining the SA team and hopes he can inspire more and more people to join the fly fishing community.

  1. Home water: Saint-Lawrence river and tributaries. Basically all water surrounding the greater Montreal area.
  2. Lines: The amplitude infinity is probably my all around go to for trout and salmon. I also LOVE the sonar titan full intermediate line! I use it for pike and musky on my 10 weight rod. It’s the perfect line for casting and stripping big bucktail streamers.
  3. Place i’d love to fish: Since i’m really into trout and muskies I think the place I would love to fish the most is Mogolia for Taimen. It’s like fishing huge trouts with musky flies. Best of both worlds!
  4. I prefer streamers over dry flies. My wife catches the biggest fish, all the time. Musky fishing is so easy, I never get skunked.
