- Home water? Beaverhead, Bighole, Jefferson, Madison, and Ruby
- What 2-3 lines do you use the most and why? Amplitude MPX is the best all around fly line on the market, makes long and short casts with ease on just about any size fly and situation, along with my second favorite the amplitude trout nothing beats the amplitudes slickness, durability and float-ability. The Amplitude Trout is a must for the dry fly fisherman at heart, weather its short medium or a longer presentation this line puts the fly down with ease and present-ability. For the fisherman on a budget the mastery trout series is a wonderful alternative to the amplitude. Presentation durability and smoothness is unmatched on the market at that price. My fourth favorite line is the Freighliner Skagit float kit. A must for every steelhead fisherman. the kit has it all. I switch between my traditonal spey and switch rods all the time and these lines can handle both with ease. I love throwing big articulated flies in very deep runs with heavy sink tips and this line gets it out there with ease.
- Where would you most like to fish? I have two dream fly fishing trips I plan on taking before I day with luck! Kamchatka and the Amazon. Kamchatka not just for the fishing but for the sheer ruggedness and untouched feel of the area, and would also love to see some of the last remaining huge salmon runs. The Amazon for Peacock bass is next on the list, again for the sheer remoteness but also for the streamer fisherman in me, never know whats on the end of the line down there too!
- Two Truths and a Lie. I pride myself on being one of the most patient guides out there. Whether you are a true beginner or a seasoned vet we can all learn more, have fun, take in the beautiful scenery that trout love to live in and catch some fish along the way. I will work my butt off for you, whether the fish are hungry or not i will work to catch us the most fish and have a great time while doing it, in the end if we dont catch a bunch its because they decided not to eat not because of the fisherman or the guide giving it their all. I’m 5’10” when I’m actually 5’11” ha, cant really come up with a lie for myself, momma always said tell the truth!
