Biography: my name is Dalton Romanowski and I’m a fly fishing guide based in Central Oregon. After splitting my time guiding between Idaho, Wyoming, and Oregon for a few years, I decided to lay down some roots in the PNW full time, where I guide on the legendary Deschutes River. Whether you are a first timer or seasoned angler, I love sharing my passion and knowledge of fly fishing and conservation with anyone who gets in my boat. When I’m not guiding, you’ll either find me in the duck blind, swinging for steelhead, or teaching my elementary students about the beauty of our natural world.

Favorite lines: My daily driver is the Amplitude  Anadro Indicator. It is hands down the best and most versatile line for turning over heavy rigs out there. I also love the Amplitude Infinity. Wind, long leaders, spooky fish, the Infinity can handle any challenge I face when fishing dries. As for two handed lines, I’ve got the Skagit paired with pretty much every one of my Spey rods. Part laser beam, part fly line, I’ve never experienced a line that can consistently turn over heavy sink tips with so much accuracy. It’s also super forgiving with clients who are first time spey casters.
