I am a Denver, CO Native, and while growing up in Trout Country, I’ve focused my fishing career on the under the radar Warm Water Opportunities of Colorado, in particular; Carp. I am the Operations Manager of Trouts Fly Fishing. In addition to managing the retail business, I guide and teach Warm Water Fly Fishing Schools, am a regular speaker on the topic(s) for fishing clubs and fly fishing events, and contributed the Denver South Platte Chapters to Pat Dorsey’s Fly Fishing Guide to the South Platte River. I love exploring and fishing all Colorado has to offer with my beautiful Wife and 3 awesome kids!

  1. The Denver South Platte. An urban gem with a rough exterior, the positive strides this artery has made in the last 10 years are incredible, and the quality of Fish right in the heart of the Queen City of the Plains nothing short of remarkable.

  2. Amplitude Infinity Camo; Hands down the best presentation tool for spooky Carp, with enough mass to load a heavier rod, and turn over heavily weighted Carp Flies, but enough forward taper to present gently, and avoid blowing up a happy tailer.

Sonar Titan Full Intermediate; The most versatile line for Eastern Colorado’s shallower Warm Water Reservoirs. Easy to present at a variety of depths (with patience) to the many awesome species that swim in CO’s Plains Reservoirs

  3. I am most driven by exploration and variety, I am just stoked to see new places, catch new species, and catch old species in weird, new ways.
  4. I am the Current Colorado State Recored Holder for White Sucker. / I was on an Episode of the once popular TV Show; City Limits Fishing, with The Bachelor; Byron Velvick. / I once caught Barramundi on a Slice of Pizza…
