A unique two-layer construction means this 100% fluorocarbon tippet is the strongest we’ve ever offered: up to 33% higher knot strength. A softer fluorocarbon outside layer helps knots seat properly and increases overall knot strength, while the harder fluorocarbon core provides exceptional tensile strength. Supreme Fluorocarbon tippet is also more supple than most other options, providing better drag free drifts while maintaining a stealthy footprint.
Supreme Fluorocarbon is available on our patented cutter spool with our improved tippet band for easy identification and dispensing.

Very impressed with the performance of this new, Absolute Saltwater Supreme Fluorocarbon Tippet! Bought a spool of 20 lbs to try out on big, wild, BC Steelhead in the Fall. I was a little doubtful at first because the tippet is slightly thinner for its tensile strength than all my other 20# tippet I have used for years. However, the first time I knotted my big Intruder-style fly with this material, I knew my knot seated better than the other materials and brands that I have in my kit bag. Whatever they coat it with just make seating your knots super smooth and secure. I was also impressed with not just the knot strength but the tensile strength as it was pretty hard to break your fly off when you got it stuck in rocks/wood while swinging flies. Most of the time, I got my fly back with a bent hook! Never had any tippet failures the entire 2 weeks of fishing hard everyday, all day. I would say that this Absolute Saltwater Supreme Fluorocarbon Tippet is worth the few extra bucks when it comes to fishing for big game -which I very much consider three foot, anadromous trout as big game! I’m looking forward to trying the smaller sizes for my streamer fishing in Montana.
