Amplitude Smooth Bonefish Taper
When it gets glassy calm, bonefish get extra skittish on the flats. Scientific Anglers Ambassador, Joel Dickey, takes us through the features on the best line for this use, the Amplitude Smooth Bonefish taper. This line has all the Amplitude technical features including AST Plus for increased shooting ability and durability. It is designed to load fast, cast accurately, and deliver the fly lightly.
The Amplitude Smooth Bonefish Taper is true line weight for optimal rod and line performance at typical fishing distances. The compound-taper head gives smooth, controlled turnover of the line as well as pick up when recasting. Head length varies by line size (#5-#8) for maximum performance and best line control at 60—80 feet. Tropic-Core technology keeps the line stiff and slick in tropical heat. If you bonefish are your passion, the Amplitude Bonefish taper is the best technical bonefish line available.
Amplitude Smooth Lines
The series of smooth-finish Amplitude fly lines from Scientific Anglers are the most feature-loaded, traditional-finish lines available anywhere. These lines are built with an assortment of technologies to enhance performance on the water and extend their use longer than any other lines on the market.
The key component of Amplitude Smooth lines is the addition of AST Plus. This additive is part of the line, not a coating. AST Plus continuously migrates to the outside line and independent testing has shown these lines to be 70% percent slicker and 8 times more durable than the closest competitor. With additional features including, SA-ID, Welded Loops, Improved Dry Tip, Three-Color construction, and more, Amplitude Smooth lines are the best smooth-finish fly lines in the world.
The Amplitude Smooth series of lines are, simply put, the highest-performance smooth fly lines in the world. With up to five times less drag and eight times the durability of traditional lines, this will change the way you look at fly line performance.
