My name is Mike Sherer and I am the owner and guide at Wenatchee Fly Company & Guide Service. I grew up with a fishing rod in my hand and picked up a fly rod at the age of 12. Fly fishing is my passion and I truly love sharing it with people. I chase everything that swims and have caught over 75 different species of fish on the fly rod. I guide all over Central Washington targeting a variety of different species.
- Home water? Chasing whatever swims in Central Washington but spending most of my time on the Yakima and Methow Rivers.
- What 2-3 lines do you use the most and why? I use various SA lines for different scenarios, but I find myself using the Amplitude smooth anadro/nymph and the Amplitude smooth MPX the most. The ease of casting and their extreme durability are a perfect combination for my clients of all skill levels. I also really enjoy throwing the Sonar Musky for the big toothy critters.
- Where would you most like to fish? My bucket list trip would have to be the Wessel Islands in Australia. The great variety of species and the remoteness intrigue me. The Seychelles is my close second.
