Amplitude Smooth Infinity Taper
Scientific Anglers Ambassadors Hillary Hutcheson and Landon Mayer both review the features of this super-versatile line. It is a great general-purpose choice for a wide range of angling situations. The Amplitude Smooth Infinity taper features a 50-foot head that allows for long, accurate casts and exceptional mending on the water. It is a half line size heavy to load faster-action rods at shorter range and push easier through the wind. There are three color schemes: A brighter standard color, a more subdued camo, and Glo Tip- that allow the line to be used at any time, daylight into dark.
With a braided multiple-filament core it be used in a wide range of temperature conditions for throwing dries, nymphs, and streamers for most freshwater species. With the addition of AST Plus, the Amplitude Smooth Infinity Taper, easy-casting line comes as close to any as the one fly line that can “Do It All”
The Amplitude Smooth series of lines are, simply put, the highest-performance smooth fly lines in the world. With up to five times less drag and eight times the durability of traditional lines, this will change the way you look at fly line performance.

How does the Amplitude Infinity differ from the Amitude MPX?
And what’s the difference in the length of their front tapers?
S A
These are both 1/2 weight heavy lines and the main difference in them in the length of the head- a 6wt MPX is a 38′ head versus a 50′ head in the infinity.

Do you suggest stretching the line initially after first put on reel and after not being used for several days?
S A
Thanks for the question Jospeh. Lightly Stretching a fly line can release some memory.

I’m deciding between the MPX and Infinity. I have a 5wt Helios D, and I like throwing large streamers to small dries for trout in medium-sized water. What would be the most versatile option for what I like doing?
S A
Infinity will be the much more versatile taper between the two for sure.
