On September 4, 2021, Rodrigo Salles, CEO of Untamed Angling Brazil, landed a new All-Tackle Length World Record speckled peacock bass while fly fishing the Rio Marie in Brazil. Measuring in at 91 cm, Salles’s mammoth peacock was not eligible for the Fly Tackle Length Record as his tippet exceeded the 20 lb. breaking strength limit as specified by IGFA.
